Delete your Second Brain account

How to delete your account, and what happens to your data.

On the website

  • Sign in and open Settings (in the sidebar, or the last tab on a phone).
  • At the bottom of the page, click Delete account.
  • Enter your password and confirm.

In the mobile app

  • Open the Settings tab.
  • At the bottom, tap Delete account.
  • Enter your password and confirm.

What gets deleted

Your account is deleted immediately, together with everything in it: your journal, notes and folders, tasks, projects, habits, events and your Pinboard. This can't be undone, so use Export your data in Settings first if you want to keep a copy.

Copies remain in our encrypted backups for up to about 30 days, until those backups expire and are deleted. Nothing is kept after that.

Can't sign in?

Email gian@secondbrain.ltd from the email address of your account and ask us to delete it. We answer within 15 days.
